To all Clemson 'fans'
Teams have good games and bad. Tonight happens to be a really bad one for us. Yes, it sucks but we still made it to the Orange Bowl and we will again next year.
I'm tired of hearing/reading about how much they suck or that you need to find a new team... Man up and stick by your team!!! People who bounce to winning teams annoy me but what annoys me more is someone who bad mouths their own team.
Even though I am saddened by our loss, I still sit here in my Clemson Snuggie... Proud to be a fan!

I bleed orange...
Guess what tonight is...
I am so excited to watch Clemson play tonight! I am even wearing all orange today to show my Tiger pride! (ok, not all orange... I am wearing jeans but my t-shirt and sweatshirt are Clemson attire)
In honor of tonight's game, I am linking up with The Vintage Apple for

This shirt probably wouldn't fit me like it does her (due to my vertically challenged-ness) but it's still perfect for game day |

I think Beau would kill me if I turned our living room into a Clemson sanctuary but it's pretty cool looking! |

Bling Bling!
Even though you've all seen my ring (since, after all, it is my header and blog button) and have heard my engagement story, I decided to still link up with C Mae for...
For those who are new to my blog or want a refresh on how it went down, here we go!
On Saturday, April 30, 2011, Beau and I decided to go to the jewelry store to look at ring settings. I had designed the ring I wanted but after looking for weeks, we couldn't find anything to match so we had to make our own. After finding the exact setting I had been dreaming of, we talked to Beau's friend who works at the store then left, happy as could be.
I went to another store tobuy clothes I don't need look at some things while Beau went to the Apple store to look around. He then met up with me - Apple bag in hand - and it annoyed me that he bought yet another product since our house is already full of Apple stuff.
So after bad mouthing Beau’s Apple products, saying that I was going to personally yell at Steve Jobs (may he now rest in peace) if Beau got another product before getting me a ring, and jokingly saying that I wanted to punt the Apple bag across the parking lot for a good 5 minutes, Beau told me to look in the bag. There is was, next to the Apple TV... a ring box! I pulled out the box and opened it to see my dream ring. At that moment, Beau asked if I would marry him. Obviously I said yes!
Unknown to me, the reason he wanted to go 'look at settings' was because the ring was ready to be picked up and after going to the Apple store, he ran back to the jewelers to grab it. Was it the romantic proposal I wanted? Not at all. Was it us? Completely!

(And yes, this is directly taken from my older post so I didn't have to re-type the whole thing... Laziness at it's finest!)
Unfortunately, I did have an issue with my ring though. It was sometime in August, I woke up and stared at my ring like I do every morning. But that morning, I cried after looking at it because there it was --- a big ol' chip! It was on the edge of the sapphire near the prong. It wasn't super noticeable but once you saw it, it made you go 'Damn!'
So we called our friend at the jewelry store and she had us bring it in so they could replace the sapphire. I was sad that I wouldn't have my ring for about 2 weeks but I wanted it fixed.
ONE MONTH LATER I finally got my ring back. I was such a happy lady! Until I put the ring on and looked at it... there is was still, the chip! But not just one this time, TWO!!! The original chip and a new one. But wait, how is the original chip still there when he replaced the sapphire. Oh that's right - he didn't replace it! He didn't do crap to it! No worries though... our friend who works at the store yelled at him :-)
It took another few weeks for me to get my ring back but this time it is perfect. The stone color is a little different... that's to be expected when replacing the sapphire though. I'm just glad that I am able to wear my beautiful engagement ring again.
So that's my story! Thank you C Mae for putting on a wonderful link up!!!

In 2012 I will...
I've never really been one to make resolutions and on the off chance I did, I never really stuck to it. Now that I am getting older and taking more charge of my life, I decided to make some resolutions for 2012... Ones that are accomplishable and which I will stick with.
Here are a few I've decided to do...
- Make a bucket list. I've been thinking of what would be on my bucket list for a while now but I've never actually written them down. Not only will I write my list down - and add stuff to it as I go - but I will proudly cross off at least 10 things.
- Get my back problem corrected. Ok, so this one may not be easy and is partially out of my control but I am so tired of living with pain. If my current doctor doesn't think he can fix it, then I will find yet another doctor who may be able to. And if it means that I have to travel to a different state for healthcare, then that's what will happen.

My actual MRI... According to the doctors, it's fine but something is causing my pain! |
- Kind of going along with the above, I will put myself first more often. I'm the kind of person who prefers to please other people then to make myself happy. That isn't always a bad thing... I love seeing others smile. But sometimes I need to make decisions that are best for me and that will make me smile.
- Work with a local shelter/animal rescue and place more dogs in homes. As you all have probably figured out by now, I am a huge advocate for animal rescue and adopting from shelters rather then pet stores. Too many dogs are dying in shelters daily while others buy 'pure bred' or 'designer' dogs. Reality check: There are pure breds in shelters as well and designer dogs have been around forever just under a different name, mutts!
These are just a few of my resolutions. What are yours?

A New Year...
Happy New Year, everyone!
I hope all of you had a fun, safe NYE! I was lucky enough to spend most of the night with my wonderful family then watch the ball drop with Beau and Sammy. I even got approximately 57 puppy kisses to start of the new year!
Cheers to a new year with many blessing!
