It's ok Thursday...
It's ok...
... to snuggle on the couch with the puppy all day. After all, that's what you do when your sick, right?
... to watch Boy Meets World for 3 hours straight. Feeny! Fa-fa-fa-feeny! Fee-hee-heenay!
... to want to redecorate every month. The urge was bad before but now that Pinterest is in my life, whoa!
... to set an alarm even though you don't have to be up at any certain time.
... to hit said alarm's snooze button four times before finally turning it off and going back to sleep.
... to avoid your annoying, old neighbor because you don't want to hear her town gossip.
... to go to the store for one thing and buy five (or more) things.
... to check the hair straightener and iron plugs at least 4 times before finally leaving the house. OCD, much?
... to be mad at your fiance because he made plans to go somewhere on his day off and didn't even think of inviting you -- even though he knows you've been wanting to go.
... to delete stuff from the DVR without even watching it. A pure sign you record/watch too much!
It's NOT ok...
... if you haven't entered my giveaway yet! Deadline is TONIGHT at 11:59pm EST!

Does everybody know what time it is???
If you follow me on twitter, you know I am feeling under the weather. I woke up yesterday morning feeling like my throat was so swollen that my uvula was touching my tongue making me nauseous. Beau and I both thought it was impossible but since I felt miserable, my grandma forced me to go to the doctor. Well, it IS possible for your throat to be so swollen that your uvula touches your tongue and mine WAS that swollen. Awesome, right? So now I'm on three Prednisone a day for 4 days and two Amoxicillin a day for 10 days... Lucky me. What does one do when they have a sore throat though? Buy ice cream, of course!
On to more important news... Even though my parents had 3 girls, our whole family sat down every week to watch our favorite sitcom family (who had 3 boys)
My dad's favorite celebrity is Tim Allen so it comes as no surprise that Home Improvement was his favorite show. We watched it religiously and have seen every episode. I can't believe I'm admitting this but my dad and I would even grunt 'just like the tool man' while building stuff and yes, I built stuff. I even took 4 years of wood shop! Maybe the reason I liked the show so much was because Tim reminded me of my own dad (and Jonathan Taylor Thomas was so cute). Home Improvement was such a good family show and it's a shame they don't make quality shows like it anymore. But wait, is there a new show that can stand up to it???
It's not Tim 'The Tool Man' Taylor but it wasn't bad. It made me laugh but the whole time I was comparing it to Home Improvement. It's tough to make a new show when you had such a successful one for years. I'll continue to watch it since it's still good. Who knows, maybe it will be at popular as Home Improvement one day!
Side note: They had a reunion a couple months ago. You'll notice Earl Hindman (Wilson Wilson) isn't in the picture. Unfortunately, he died of lung cancer in December 2003.
Are there any shows that remind you of your family?
(Also, tomorrow is the last day to enter my giveaway!)

I'm inked 'til the end...
I am one excited lady over here! I won the Teleflora flower giveaway from All Things Wedding so a huge 'thank you' goes out to them. I'm having them sent to my mommy next week... She's going to LOVE them!!!
Anyway, I feel like I haven't told you guys a lot about myself. So today I've decided to share with you something that to look at me, you would never know...
Yup, I have tattoos. I've been careful with the placement of mine because of the workplace and such since everyone has different opinions about them but personally, I love them!
I have two other tattoos... a Celtic knot on my foot and a design on my wrist (which is covered by my watch)
I hope you all still like me even though I'm tatted up! Do you guys have tattoos? What are your thoughts of them?
By the way, only two more days to enter my wonderful AVON giveaway!

My mom used to sing 'Beautiful Dreamer' to us as kids and my dad always called my rosebud |

These are my babies actual paw prints that we had stamped. This way they are with me where ever I go! (and for once I actually have a tan, yay!!!) |

So, I'm a little obsessed with pirates... :-) |

My best friend and I have matching 'crazy' tattoos that we got together. When we go anywhere, people always say 'here comes crazy!' and they're right -- we're crazy! |

My newest tattoo. I got this after going to school for animals. Save a life - Adopt a shelter pet. (picture was taken while we were still at the shop so that's why it's extremely red) |

Can I go back to bed now? Please...
Happy Monday ladies! Is there really such a thing as a happy Monday though? Why yes, yes there is... because it's Columbus Day which means a lot of you have the day off! This weekend was extremely busy. If it wasn't for hot tea and playful puppies, I would not be awake right now.
On Saturday, I woke up bright and early to head to my parent's house to do laundry since my washer doesn't work. I got home with enough time to do my hair and makeup, sit down for about 5 minutes, then head to Newark, NJ tosee my future husband Zach Parise go to the Devil's opening game! I've watched many hockey games on tv but I never went to one until now so obviously I had a lot of questions about everything - and I mean everything. Ok, maybe some were just to be annoying :-) But not even an hour after leaving home, Beau said I was at 93% blonde for the day and by the time we left Newark, he said it was a 100% blonde day. I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed by that.
After getting home pretty late Saturday night, I was up at 7am to meet up with my aunt and her friends to participate in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. This was my second year walking and even though I had to bail out at the halfway point (stupid spine), it's so inspiring to see the amount of people there. Young, old, has Alzheimer's, lost someone with Alzheimer's, caregivers, supporters... thousands!
Side note: My aunt (not the Avon one) wrote a wonderful book called I LOVE YOU, WHO ARE YOU? Loving and Caring for a Parent with Alzheimer's. For more information, visit her website or Facebook
So by last night, I was BEAT! I stayed up to watch Against the Wall (Abby is such a little hornball but her love life is one of the reasons I like the show - I'm still conflicted over Brody or Danny though). I couldn't keep my eyes open long enough to watch Pan Am but it gives me something to do today!

So, they sucked. Flyer's fans should not be too excited though... the game was handed to them on a silver platter |
