Holiday Challenge: Days 3-7

Who watched last night's HIMYM? I"ll be honest... I almost cried. I was so happy that Robin and Barney were going to have a family together then in a flash, that became a thought of the past. I hope they still get married though and have a happy ending!

'How I Met Your Mother' - 'Symphony of Illumination': How she met your father?

And finally, I'm going to catch up with Amber and Neely

Fabulous Holiday Blog Challenge

Wednesday, November 30th -- Holiday decorations

I have it in a previous post but I'll gladly show off my tree again (even though I have yet to put the extra strand of lights on )...

The only other thing I have decorated so far is the mantle and our Charlie Brown tree. There is still 2 more boxes in the attic to take down!

Thursday, December 1 -- Favorite holiday movies/TV specials

"Am I just eating cause I'm boooored?"

"SANTA!!! I know him!"

I've always loved the Flintstones Christmas special

Friday, December 2 -- Ideal outfit for Christmas / NYE festivities

Call me boring but for this one, I'm a nice sweater and jeans person. Maybe something sparkly for NYE but I tend to find myself wearing a sweater (since I'm always cold lol)

Monday, December 5 -- Christmas dessert/treat recipe

These are one of my dad's favorites...
BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES

1ST BOWL:

8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

2ND BOWL:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
1 c. water
1/3 c. oil
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line small muffin pan. Beat together cream cheese, egg, 1/3 cup sugar and salt in one bowl. Add chocolate chips to this mixture. In second bowl mix together remaining ingredients. Put 1 teaspoon of chocolate mixture in lined muffin pan and a heaping teaspoon of cheese mixture on top. Bake for 20 minutes. Makes 48 midget size cupcakes.

Tuesday, December 6 -- How do you celebrate Christmas?

Holidays are SUPER busy for us. We will wake up, open our presents, go to my parents for presents, then quickly go to my sister's for breakfast and for her kids to open breakfast, finally we get a couple hour break. Then the 'fun' starts again... we go to my grandma's for a late lunch and to open presents then it's off to Beau's parent's house for dinner and presents there. By the end of the day, I am more then ready for bed!

I've made black bottom cupcakes for years, but I make them in the full-size version. They are totally delish! I'll have to try making them as minis sometime.
