Breathe. Just breathe...

Maybe it's just me but I feel like people get so caught up in things that they don't appreciate the moment. I, too, get put into this category.

Every day it's run, run, run... Go to work, do this, do that. We "don't" have the time to stop and smell the roses. But why not take out that 2 seconds to smell that rose? What is more important in life than enjoying the life you've been given. Maybe it's sniffing that flower, maybe it's watching a sunset, maybe it's liking my Facebook page #shamelessplug, or maybe it's even giving your child one extra hug and kiss.

So here is my challenge for you: Every day, take a moment to just stop and appreciate life.

Life Lately...

Oh, life. You've been pretty good lately.

On Friday, two of my Bridesmaids and I went to the bridal salon to look at dresses for them and then to try on my dress again. I finally bit the bullet and purchased my veil! Hoping 8/16/13 is not windy so I can wear it!

Saturday was spent working then we headed to the county Farmer's Fair for dinner -- where I basically ate my weight in food. Not even joking.

Sunday I had to work in the afternoon but then we spent a nice, relaxing night at home. We rented Safe House (which I wish I could tell you how it ended but I fell asleep halfway through (typical me) and snuggled on the couch with the babies.

So far today has been pretty nice... but it's only 10:15am so there's still a whole lot of day ahead. And a lot of cleaning. Who wants to come wash dishes for me?? Yeah, didn't think so. At least there is a nice, cool breeze coming through the windows.

I was able to watch last night's Army Wives this morning and oh. em. geeeeee.
Hector and Gloria? Baby Wyatt and poor little Drew? Frank and Michael?
I won't say anything else since I don't want to spoil it for anyone. But go watch it! Intense!

And that's my life lately :-)

Sunday Social: FALL!

I am beyond excited about this week's Sunday Social questions. It's about my favorite season: FALL!

Sunday Social

1. What is your favorite Fall activity?
Do I have to pick just one? Football games, pumpkin picking... Pumpkin ANYTHING!

2. Do you follow a football team? if so which one and why?
Clemson Tigers! Because they're the best, duh!

3. What is something fun about Fall in your area?
Every October, we go to Millbrook Village where they show the way of life during 1850-1900. They make candles, cornmeal, yarn, and the scent of apple cider fills the air as it's being made.

Boots, boots, and more boots!

5. Thing you are looking forward to most about this coming Fall season?

Looks like we made it...

Did you know that Beau and I almost didn't make it to where we are today?

::rewind to 2008::

A few months into our relationship - and a few months after buying a brand spanking new car - Beau and I were together at our local rescue squad, where we were both members. We said our goodbyes and went to go to our houses (since we still lived separately at the time).

Before I had a chance to pull out of the parking lot. BAM! Beau backed into me!!

He thought I had left already. I thought he knew what a freaking mirror was.

Long story short, there I was bawling. The first car I had ever gone to a dealership and bought brand new -- dented! And I'm not talking about a small dent... he dented/crinkled my passenger side door, piece under the door, and front panel. Yes, he dented the bumper on his new car as well but that popped right out.

Did I mention that I cried? A lot? Pretty much all afternoon to my daddy. Then again to Beau when I saw him later that night.

$1,500.00 later -- and wondering if I should break up with the ahole who bashed his car into mine -- my car was back to new and I forgave Beau for what he did. I am extremely careful where I park now though!

And no, I don't have any pictures. I was going to take
some but I didn't want the memory of my new car dented.
