Holy heck, it was such a wonderful book which I highly recommend. I'm horrible at giving a summery so here is what Nicholas Sparks has to say about his book:
Description
When U.S. Marine Logan Thibault finds a photograph of a smiling young woman half-buried in the dirt during his third tour of duty in Iraq, his first instinct is to toss it aside. Instead, he brings it back to the base for someone to claim, but when no one does, he finds himself always carrying the photo in his pocket. Soon Thibault experiences a sudden streak of luck—winning poker games and even surviving deadly combat that kills two of his closest buddies. Only his best friend, Victor, seems to have an explanation for his good fortune: the photograph—his lucky charm.Back home in Colorado, Thibault can’t seem to get the photo—and the woman in it—out of his mind. Believing that she somehow holds the key to his destiny, he sets out on a journey across the country to find her, never expecting the strong but vulnerable woman he encounters in Hampton, North Carolina—Elizabeth, a divorced mother with a young son—to be the girl he’s been waiting his whole life to meet. Caught off guard by the attraction he feels, Thibault keeps the story of the photo, and his luck, a secret. As he and Elizabeth embark upon a passionate and all-consuming love affair, the secret he is keeping will soon threaten to tear them apart—destroying not only their love, but also their lives.
Filled with tender romance and terrific suspense, The Lucky One is Nicholas Sparks at his best—an unforgettable story about the surprising paths our lives often take and the power of fate to guide us to true and everlasting love.
Did You Know...
Zeus was modeled after one of Nicholas’s dogs?Nicholas had to do more research for this novel than any other?
The setting of the novel is fictitious?
This was the first novel Nicholas wrote in the limited third-person omniscient perspective?
After I was finished reading the book, I rewarded myself by watching the movie trailer. I CAN'T wait for (sometime in) spring when it comes out. Eeeeekkkkkkk!!!!
So if you're looking for something good to read, here ya go!

I just bought it ... can't wait to read it!
I think I'm going to read the book too, it sounds so romantic and interesting!
First finishing my exams, then reading ;)
I read both of these books a LOOOOOONNGGGG time ago. Great books! N. Sparks has at least a dozen more books just like these that are easy to read yet get the reader involved. Great author!
I really liked this book too!! I hope the movie can live up to it!
That looks so good! I now have the book on my to read list.
At First Sight is AMAZING, but it made me cry so hard! Nicholas Sparks always seems to have that effect on me.
Enjoy!
ok I am openly admitting that I am not to big of a reader either...but my mom has this book and keeps telling me to read it. I am totally taking this as a sign!

I really liked The Lucky One, but I'm even more excited for the movie!
You know, I will see the movie... but with great fear.. The man (Mr. Sparks) murders everyone I love. I can't decide if I want to read the book, oh life is just so hard:)
P.S. I'm Shay, and just blog stalking away.
The story was captivating and the characters were so real. It shows the true meaning of destiny and how far someone will go to find it. I couldnt put it down! When i did, it was in all my thoughts.
